- We are very keen to promote green technologies such as heat pumps and solar panelling and currently would be happy to
offer general advice on the subjects and then recommend an associated company who specialise in such services. In time we will be able to provide such a service ourselves.
- Air Source Heat Pumps can be
used to replace the traditional gas/oil boiler. The
heat pump is a refrigerant based system similar to
an air conditioning unit but in reverse. It can absorb
low grade heat from the outside air and raise its
temperature to be able to provide space heating or
hot water.
- Heat pumps generally use 30-50% less fuel than conventional
boilers so create less CO2 emmisions.
- No fuel is burned, no gases are produced therefore
no flue is required.
- Heat pumps are classified as low carbon technology
so only have a 5% VAT rate.
- Ideal where there is no gas service to the property.
Avoids the need for bulky oil tanks and delivered
oil. All that is required is an electrical supply.
- Solar heating/hot water systems that
can be stand alone or integrated with the boiler/heat
pump.
- Approved Installer of Uponor underfloor heating.
- "Air To Air" split air conditioning
systems. Heat pump technology allows for space cooling
in the summer and heating in the winter.
